FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What happens in the initial appointment?

The first session is really a chance for me to get you know you better and decide on how best to take things forward.

  • How many therapy appointments will I need?

This can vary depending on the difficulties you are experiencing and your goals for therapy and will be discussed and agreed together. In general, courses of six sessions are offered at a time and progress is reviewed at regular intervals.  The formal end of therapy is also discussed and agreed in advance.

  • What are the session fees?

Fees are £110 per session and can be paid either by BACS or by cash on the day. Sessions not attended or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged at the full fee.

  • Is what we talk about confidential?

All conversations discussed are treated in strictest confidence. Necessary exceptions include; where I feel there is a risk of harm to you or to someone else and in order to be able to practise safely, cases are discussed during clinical supervision.

A copy of my privacy policy will be provided to you prior to our first appointment.

  • Can you see me urgently?

I do not provide an emergency service, therefore, if you require urgent help, please seek support from your GP or out of hours you can contact 111 or attend your local A and E department.

  • Where will I be seen?

I work in a comfortable therapy room in Worsley. The address is 218 Leigh Road, Worsley, Manchester. M28 1LW.

If you have any other questions or if you would like to confidentially talk about how I can support you, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
